This page is dedicated to the love of my life, who was brutally murdered on September 21st 2007 by his ex-girlfriend.

PC David William Smith, 35, served his country in many respects and was greatly loved not only because of his services to his country as a police officer, but because of his warm and generous nature, his genuine sense of humour and need to please everyone.

Dave was and always will be the love of my life, and as the anniversary of his death approaches for the first time, I find that my heart breaks a little more with each passing day he is no longer with me.

There is no justice in this world when the ones we love are stolen from us. There is no life when they hold our hearts in their hands at the gates of heaven. But there is hope, forever, that when our time comes and the end of our life arrives, that they will be standing at those gates with their arms open to reach for us, and to welcome us home.

I miss you, Dave, and I will always love you.
